I haven't write here like ages, right! Hukhuk. Sorry for that -.- Few days ago, I was so determined to baking and decided to make red velvet cake - instead of red velvet cupcakes, with cream cheese frosting. I am so not great with baking but I really really wanted to try this cake on my own, for like weeks but didn't manage to find the suitable time due to the busy world of school placement. Dear my lovely readers, I'll share the recipe here and hopefully you guys will try it someday! :)

250g cake flour (or plain flour)

pinch of salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons cocoa powder

2tablespoons red colouring

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

240ml buttermilk

1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar

113g unsalted butter

300g granulated sugar

1-8 ounce (227g) cream cheese

1-8 ounce (227g) tub Mascarpone cheese

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

115g icing sugar

240ml double cream

1. Preheat oven to 350 F (160 C). Grease and four the baking pan(s). Remove excess flour. (You can use 2 baking pans if you prefer to make 2 layers cake, but I only use 1 pan).

2. Mix flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl. 

3. Put buttermilk, vinegar, vanilla extract and eggs into separate bowl. Whisk them together.

4. In a small bowl, whisk the cocoa powder and red colouring. 

5. In the electric mixer bowl, put butter and sugar together. Mix them with medium speed until the mixture becomes fluffy.

6. Take 1/3 of the flour mixture and 1/2 of the buttermilk mixture and add them into the electric mixer bowl. Whisk the mixture together.

7. While mixing, slowly add the remaining buttermilk mixture and flour mixture in the bowl in medium high speed.

8. Add colouring mixture and mix for 30 seconds or until well-mixed.

9. Pour into pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. (May need more time - do not forget to check your cake after 25 minutes)

10. Let the cake cool before starting to put on the cream cheese frosting. 

Next thing, how to make the cream cheese frosting? It was my very first time trying to make the frosting, and I could say it was not a great success. I mistakenly bought cottage cheese instead of cream cheese. Well, blame me for not knowing what cream cheese a.k.a soft cheese, were even I have used them before. To not let the same thing happen again, I'll definitely buy Philadelphia cheese for my next attempt! :D

Frosting;

1. Beat cream cheese and mascarpone cheese until smooth.

2. Add vanilla extract and icing sugar. Beat until smooth.

3. Add double cream and mix the mixture until it looked 'heavy'.

4. Add more icing sugar or cream as needed.

Then, you can spread the frosting on the cake or in between the 2 layers, if you want. Again, I am totally not an experienced baking chef, so my frosting was not good looking at all.

Alhamdulillah, syukur ke hadrat Allah. Selamat juga aku jejakkan kaki ke tanah Inggeris ini, sekali lagi. Ada terfikir-fikir untuk selitkan entri raya kat sini. Tapi, baik ditangguhkan dulu kot. Sebenarnya, ada banyak lagi entri-entri lain yang tertangguh, aissshhh.. Udara musim luruh kali ini agak berbeza dari yang sebelumnya. Daun-daun masih belum gugur sepenuhnya ke bumi, sama seperti September lepas. Sejuknya juga tak jauh beza dari September yang sudah-sudah. Redup-terangnya juga tak ubah seperti luruh yang lalu. Cuma, masih ada yang berbeza. Mungkin kerana persekitaran baru yang belum dapat dibiasakan lagi. Mungkin kerana belum bersedia untuk mulakan kelas. Mungkin juga sebab hati tak rela.. 

Rumah baru? Not bad. Cukup lah untuk dibuat tempat berteduh, mandi, makan, tidur. Kemudahan asas dan tak asas pun dekat dengan rumah. Bus stop depan rumah, tesco pun tak berapa jauh, post office-farmasi-kedai runcit bawah rumah je. Syukurlah, tak perlu banyak bersusah. 10 bulan je pun. 10 bulan. Macam sekejap, tapi lama. 5 hari yang berlalu sekarang pun, macam agak terseksa, ni lagikan pula 10 bulan. Orang kata, lagi dihitung, lagi terasa,kan?

Heee.. at last! I've been thinking to change the blog template since few weeks back. Thank Allah, I manage to do it today :) - a few things have been added to the original template yet I still do not feel satisfy with it *sigh*. So, this is the first attempt;

Last saturday, I had to accompany my brother, to the 'e-book distribution ceremony' (btol ke? bantai je la) at SK Kampung Baru Kerteh. As my father had classes, my mom was so lazy to go, then, we have to go there by bus. What I had in mind was the yellow school bus. Surprisingly, it wasn't! At first, I was so confuse. Was is a bus? A box? A house? Or, a kindergarten? Hailoh.. those two were so fancyyy.. Please please take a look.

So? What say you? I can't stop laughing. I've snapped so much photos but most of it were so blurry and shaky.(-_-") I was laughing, remember? :P Well, let's not talk about the ceremony. It was just a usual boring ceremony as others. And now, presenting the e-book. 

The size is a lot more smaller than laptop. Even smaller than netbook. You won't get it in the market, as it was made special for year 5 (2009) students in Terengganu. (Next year, Year 4 and 5). Small, cute, light in weight, and easy to carry..

Earth Hour is an event created by World Wide Fund, held on the very last Saturday in March every year. What is the event about? During the Earth Hour, households and bussinesses are ask to switch off their lights for an hour to raise the awareness; people need to take action against climate change. It is actually an international event, pioneered by WWF Australia in 2007. It was held in Sydney, supported by 2.2 million homes and bussinesses. In 2008, the event had been participated by many cities world wide. As for 2009, the event will take place on 28 March from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm local time. This year, Earth Hour 2009 has highlighted 'VOTE EARTH' to attract people to join the event.

So everyone out there, let's join the event! It won't risk you any money! Just turn off your light (esp unnessesary one) for an hour!

This is pretty much I've got so far. Well, the screen shot was taken at the earlier stage of transforming process. You guys can take a look for what my blog do have, up until this moment. I wasn't really satisfy with the 'new look' though. There are lotta stuffs to be touched up. For a few months ago, I was refering to this blog (blog menjerit, recommended by a friend), if I need to do something with my blog. But now, as the owner has closed/deleted the blog, then I have to find another resource. (Always has a backup! Always!) Alhamdulillah, so far I've done a lot more better than before (I started with 0). I've learn so many things while trying to make my blog up. I'll share those stuffs with you guys someday (after I got the permission form the owner of the blog). BTW, feel free to leave any comment for this new skin. I guess, that's it for now. Taaa~

Peergghh~ Penat yg amat hari ni. Sirius black! Mula2, pagi td ade test. Xyah ckp psl test la, tgk tajuk pon taw nk ckp psl ape kan. Then, ade gap 2 jam, bersihkan bilik. Aku pindah masuk bilik lain hari ni. Alhamdulillah, dalam uni. Lepas tu, ade lecture, ngan lab. Pastu, balik bilik lama, amek barang2 penting yg nk diguna pakai dlm masa terdekat ni. 2 trip gak weh. Trip ke-2 lepas keje, pkol 7. Sorg2, mane bleh nk bwk bnyk2. Yg ade ni pon, mcm x caye je, mampu dibawak dlm 2 trip je. Agak banyak~ Tp, yg kat bilik sana tu, byk dia berganda2 lagi. Tu, nnti2 laa.. Smpi bilik dah pkol 9. Badan melekit2, bilik bersepah2 dgn brg2 yg x dikemas lg. Keraskn diri berkemas, pastu mandi. Sampai la skrg ni, dah 12.01 tgh mlm. Nk tdo! Nk tdo! Esok dah kne start study utk test jumaat ni. Projek utk matlab pon, dah bleh start buat sket2. Haiyoo~ ms x busy dulu, rindu hidup busy. Skrg ni, pegang seme benda pon x kne. Manusia, x pernah bersyukur, kan? Insafi diri, maafkan diri sendiri, kemudian maafkan orang lain sebelum tdo. Insya-Allah, lena kita dalam berkat-Nya. Amin.

Salam and greetings to everyone. It's been awhile since the last time I talked about myself. Today, I am 22 years and 3 days year old. Paan said "you've been through so many tough things in your life for a person at young ages". I do agree with him and in the same time I believe, Allah wants me to go through all these so I can learn how's life gonna be in the future, and how He makes me strong. Alhamdulillah..
So, for this year, unexpectedly, I had 2 birthday celebrations. Great, isn't it? The first one, was held at Chancellor's Bar, on my birthday itself, 12 feb. "Perrghh,, bukan main, celebrate birthday kat Chancellor's tu..." That was what Pian used to say. The occasion wasn't only meant for me; it was also for Pian (sort of farewell). He was leaving for Malaysia. The second one? Today, at Sir and Madam Restaurant. The restaurant owner was sooo nice! She tied up a balloon at my chair, and she put some birthday banners near our table. Somehow, I feel like I was a kid! Ngehs2. Everyone was about to finish the dishes, and she came up with the mini-pudding birthday gift with a candle for me. Yo! I was so ashamed. Haha.
I got so many expensive stuffs for this birthday. I guess, when you're getting older, the birthday gift value is getting expensive, maybe? It might not applied to everyone, but it did to me! Alhamdulillah.. * A Puma handbag, a Dorothy Perkins jeans, Britney Spears perfume, Fossil watch.. Thanks, thanks, and thanks again. Nway, better stop here. I have a test tomorrow. Pray for me~

This is my new desktop. I really like it. Well, I guess I have to like after spending time (I can say so much time), looking for this widget. One thing I'm not fully satisfied, about the Recycle Bin icon. Haven't find the right way to remove it, yet.

I can't recall the last time we went out together. Wut say you my dear friends? Hehe.. though you're answering me, I can't hear that. 7 of us, without naemah, went to town or to be specific; pizzahut. The main plan was, celebrating izzah's 21st birthday. So it was. Too bad for her, all 6 of us, sharing just 1 birthday present. So stingy, huh? Nway, Happy 21st Birthday friend~

After solat, Sara, Sha, Nik and I started our journey to London. We had purchased 4 theatre tickets. First timers going to watch theater, how excited we were! Opps, lupa nk mention. The theater was about The Lion King. Even dapat seat agak belakang, we had our great time! Mane x, rezeki laa, sbb 2 rows in front of us were empty, so we got the 'clear view'. Maklum jelah, seme rendang2. Too bad, x bleh amek gmbr mase theater sdg berlangsung. Ala, standard rules applied. The play was great, with the very good sound and so the costumes, the stage, the actors/actresses, the dancers, the songs, coreography - all of them were well 'blended'!
